The Week of July 18-24

Welcome Hikers to the St. Thomas' Hiker Hostel. Come in and get out of the heat. There are cold drinks in the Hiker Fridge - come and have one!

Please note that because of a possible issue in our septic system we have limited water availability- drinking and restrooms only for right now. We will announce as soon as shower and laundry facilities have been restored. We're sorry for the disruptions and have got the plumber coming ASAP.

  1. Thanks so much for everything here! Too bad about the water problems, but the thoughtfulness and availability of everything else is already more than enough. So well organized and labeled! What a wonderful place to take a break from hiking.

    THANKS!

  7. I arrived in Vernon around 3:30am 24th Saturday. Since it was so dark I had hard time finding where the hostel was. I had my cellphone flash lit on and searched everywhere. The basement was the last place I had searched for and finally found the hostel. I was surprised that the place was like a big living room. It felt home to me.

I will stay at your hostel till 26th Monday. During daytime I will be riding mountain bike at the Mountain Creek Resort.

I'll have the place cleaned up everyday till I leave. Thank you for providing such a great place for travelers!

  8. Just got in after ol' gimpy (Giggles) twisting her ankle again. Hopefully we can be back on the trail soon. Maybe the Holy atmosphere with help with the healing....
